I have been reading the Lakeshore Chronicles series books in order and have really enjoyed them all.... up until this one. I didn't like Maureen Davenport, nor did I feel the connection between her and Eddie. The story line with the pageant and the library seemed very contrived, ,phony and simplistic. She left the story with Daisy hanging, whereas in previous books all stories are nicely ended even though they will be "completed" in a future book. Just did not like this book at all - maybe the author was trying to make this book different since it was a Christmas book. I think she could have found a better way to do that. Hoping she gets back on track in this series with her next book. This one was very disappointing.

What do you get when you cross a bad boy and a librarian? An interesting addition to the Lakeshore Chronicles.

Would have liked to see more development or closure for 'Daisy' but must be for another book?
Great read. Love the series.
I've read all the books in the Lakeshore series and this one was disappointing. Prim librarian picked to direct her towns Xmas pageant with a co director who is a former child star & alcoholic. Maureen was one of the most boring, judgmental, prissy, unlikable people on the planet. There was zero chemistry between her & Eddie & I could see no reason they would end up together.
Eddie and Maureen were so easy to love. This story never showed down. I loved Every word, every sentence, every paragraph, every page. What I didn't love was the story had to end. Recommended.
Another great story continues. Always good to have a holiday themed read
Someone sent this to my wife and she has been having fun with it for quite a while now. I asked her to get me a copy ($4.00) after I sat and actually saw the fun she was having with it. It is basically an Advent Calendar, to be used as Christmas arrives, but it also has puzzles, games and other functions that can be used year around. It is great for kids and adults that have a little time on their hands and just want to relax and smile a bit.
Our adventures in Ava!on continue with this Christmas story. It has a little bit of everything including love, angels and a miracle or two. It can stand a!one but if you are reading the series you can't miss it..
