The Will of the Empress Circle Reforged Tamora Pierce Books
Will of the Empress is the first book in The Circle Reforged series by Tamora Pierce, which brings our favorite four mages back together after years of traveling abroad.Coming back to Emelan after years of travel, the four young mages can't move back into Discipline and just pick up where they left off. Too much has changed, and they aren't allowed to move back into their old home. So, buying a house in the city, they try to mesh their lives back together after so many years apart. Unsuccessfully.
Sandry, though, must visit her royal cousin in Namoran and view her holdings there. Her three foster-siblings go with her, at the request of the Duke, and they squabble like siblings for the whole trip. Except, this isn't just an easy trip north to view Sandry's lands and met her people. The Empress does not want her to leave, or her siblings.
Coming together might be the only way to save themselves from bondage and service to the Empire. But are the four willing to open up their minds to each other, like they did as children, and truly become one family again?

The Will of the Empress Circle Reforged Tamora Pierce Books Reviews
Tamara Pierce has an excellent story on her hands. Reading her stories always leaves me wanting more. The character dynamic and the way she weaves her tales are refreshing. I adore the way she describes magic and her books never get old. I can't wait to read these to my daughter when she is old enough.
I really love this book. I've read every Tamora Pierce book I can get my hands on. The only problem I have with this book is that it references stuff that didn't happen to Briar in "Battle Magic". I realise that this was one was written first, so I'll write something similar for the other book. Everything else about it is amazing. I've read a lot of authors who tend to lose the characters as they write more books, but she has never faltered. Even though they are technically written for young adults, I doubt I will ever decide that I am too old for them. My mother also really loves the. Definitely read the Circle books first. I look forward to more books in this series.
Tamora Pierce writes a great book and I love her take on magic. Sandry has to learn that her friends are growing up as well as herself and that life changes effect everyone. The Four friends come together to save other people and to escape a very spoiled Empress. On the way back home they have to work together to over come the evil magic that the empress and her people throw at them. I really liked all of the stories about these young people I recommend the series to young readers as well as older ones good job Tamora.
I loved The Will of the Empress. Though there were times I wanted to shake our young mages, their reactions and character developments are believable and consistent. They're growing up, and they've already lived lives with powers and decisions that are far challenging to control. I also love that all four are together again!
The plot itself is attention-getting. There are some subplots going on, and it adds length to the book. I wish they were a bit more involved, but the book might have been too long if they were explored further.
I love books that pull you in the tale, and immerse you into well-written imaginary world that feels all too real. Reading about characters that I have enjoyed in 2 previous series had me wondering if I would like a third series dealing with more grown up characters... the answer is YES, in case you were curious!
This is one of my all-time favorite books by Tamora Pierce. She truly makes you feel the emotions as you run through the book, from the tension between those who were once close to how they come together again. Just truly amazing. I have this in hardcover, and I just bought it again in ebook and audiobook so I could have it with me more easily.
This is a wonderful extension of this series, which has traced the evolution of four young magicians with ambient magic. While it can be read on its own, there are many references to the previous eight books, and that back story increases one's enjoyment of this book.
This novel begins with three of the mages finally returning after two-year journeys with their mentor; their experiences of their journeys have left them a bit battered and certainly scarred. As they return to Tortall and their training center, they are not sure that they can regain their tight connections. When Sandy discovers that she must return to her mother's country to protect her heritage and her lands, her uncle persuades Briar, Daja, and Tris to accompany and help protect her. That journey begins with experiences that show the divides between the formerly tight "family." What will happen when they face the powerful Empress and her experienced mages? Will they regrow their bonds? Read on to find out!
